It was an interesting year! A freak snowstorm in February, a crazy summer and a long dry fall made it different from most other years. I've been in the Pacific Northwest for 25 years and it may have been the most unique year I have seen so far.

This year we have accomplished so many interesting and successful projects from installing many new lawns, some were also synthetic turf, designing and creating beautiful new gardens and even fit in a few stone projects. I hope that 2020 brings just as much interest, if not more, than 2019.

Remember that just because it is winter, it does not have to be grey and boring in your garden. Planting pansies and hellebores are a great start to get that splash of color by your front door or in your planter pots.

I wish you all a Happy New Year and will return with more frequent blogs next year. Follow us on the Utopian Gardens llc facebook page for weekly gardening tips and project photos.
